As I reflect, it is hard for me to believe that John Turner Consulting, Inc., (JTC), will be celebrating our 10-year anniversary in October of 2007.
Many of you likely do not know this, but JTC was founded out of necessity: I left one career to take on another, with a company that coincidentally decided to merge with a larger company. This new organization put all hiring on freeze and thus myself in limbo.
Fortunately, I was given an opportunity by a local engineering firm to serve as a resident inspector for one of their projects. I was hired as a subcontractor, and things took off from there. JTC has grown from my being the sole employee in 1997, 3 employees in 1998 to currently about 30 employees strong, covering four states. The engineering firm that gave me that first opportunity remains one of our larger clients and I will forever be grateful to them.
JTC has gone through numerous growing pains over the years, and we are now stronger than ever from our collective experiences. I would like to thank our current staff and all their predecessors, because without the loyalty, hard work and dedication of these talented individuals, JTC would not be the firm that it is today. I challenge the current staff, to work together as a focused, unified team and dedicate yourselves to help bring JTC to the next level.
Most importantly, I would like to thank all who have allowed us to be part of their teams over the past 10 years. Our clients, that we have had the pleasure to work with and have grown to know, are truly not only the reason we have been so successful but the reason that makes our efforts so rewarding. Your loyalty is greatly appreciated and we hope that you can see this by our dedication and diligence to your projects.
Once again I thank you all and look forward to working with you over the next 10 years.
