JTC’s Geotechnical Services Division delivers subsurface investigation, foundation analysis, and geotechnical engineering reports for construction, infrastructure, and development projects across all six New England states and New York. Our professional engineering staff hold active licenses in every state we serve, with deep regional knowledge of the northeast’s varied and often challenging subsurface conditions.

Geotechnical Engineering Services

• Site investigation and subsurface exploration, including drilling, boring layout, and sample collection
• Soil, rock, and water sampling with full laboratory testing and classification
• Geotechnical engineering evaluation and reporting, covering bearing capacity, settlement, lateral pressures, and groundwater
• Foundation type and depth recommendations for shallow and deep foundation systems
• Slope stability assessment and retaining structure recommendations
• Construction phase observation and testing to verify subsurface conditions against design assumptions
• DigSafe and utility clearances prior to all drilling operations
